Modest resumption of effort.
Just did 3 sets of 10 reps, biceps curls, for each arm, at 25#, to see where I'm at in terms of strength and endurance. Strengthwise I could have gone heavier, but endurance-wise, my right arm complained during the third set. More the forearm than the biceps, actually; I think the muscles needed to stabilize the motion weren't coping with the load. (The biceps felt fine, actually.)

I have a lot of ground to make up. But that's hardly a surprise.

Just need to take things slow and not rush things, because impatience is how I hurt myself.

You totally did the right thing. I've found that coming back after a long absence is my downfall. I often can lift very close to what I used to be able to lift before the break, but then my muscles panic and I'm murderously sore for days.

Oh, yeah, and happy for the modest resumption of blogging as well :).
